Thomas Wood is a fourth-generation Californian and third-generation artist in the landscape tradition; he has shown in over fifty solo and eighty group exhibits since 1982.
His distinguished career includes painting in support of Russian Riverkeeper, Buckelew Houses, Gulf of the Farallones Marine Sanctuary, Marin Conservation League, Bolinas Museum, Surfrider Foundation, Pt. Reyes National Seashore, Golden Gate National Parks, and Marin Agricultural Land Trust. The U.S. State Department's "Art in the Embassies" program selected one of his canvases for display in the residence of the Ambassador to Belize, 2005-2008.
Informed by his background in literature, theater, and music, Wood's compelling artwork is a meditation on the beauty and mystery of nature.
